Frontier Airlines, in a major overhaul of their pricing structure, has decided to eliminate change fees. They previously charged passengers if they wanted to modify the dates, times, or destinations of their already booked flights. This move is aimed at making them a competitive option among budget airlines as well as to align the business strategy with a more passenger-friendly approach.
However, the no-change-fee policy has a few conditions – changes must be made at least 60 days prior to the departure date. Passengers making changes 59 to 14 days ahead of their flight will be charged a $49 fee, and those making changes 13 days or less from their trip date will be charged $79.
While some may view the move as a benefit, prospective travelers should still thoroughly review and understand Frontier’s policies before booking, as the airline may have other fees not covered by this change.
